Who we are and how to contact us
This policy explains information handling on civion.do, the CIVION website for construction, renovation, property maintenance and custom furniture in the Dominican Republic. For privacy questions or requests concerning your data, use the email address at the end of this page.
Enquiries and forms
This static website has no user accounts or server-side form submission database. Form fields are used in your browser to prepare a WhatsApp message. When you continue, the prepared text is included in a link opened in WhatsApp; that service may process it from that point. CIVION receives the message when you send it in WhatsApp. If you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, we use the information you share to respond and manage your enquiry or project. Please do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary.
Google Analytics 4
Only with your consent do we load Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and contact clicks. It uses cookie identifiers, technical browser and device information, visited pages, language, service category and the position of a contact link on the page. Google receives the IP address required for the connection. The site does not send form fields, messages, phone numbers or full WhatsApp links to Analytics. Reported page URLs exclude query parameters and fragments; referrers are reduced to their origin. Only predefined campaign labels are allowed. We do not use this integration for personalised advertising; advertising consent remains disabled.
What events mean
We measure page views, WhatsApp and phone clicks, and usage activity. A click indicates contact intent; it does not confirm a completed call, sent message or received enquiry. The current forms do not generate a confirmed-lead event because there is no server confirmation.
Cookies, storage and consent
We store your analytics acceptance or rejection in this browser’s local storage for 180 days. Before acceptance, we do not load Google Analytics or create its cookies. After acceptance, _ga and _ga_* cookies distinguish visits and sessions; their lifetime is configured to 180 days and Google may renew them with new visits. Your browser may impose shorter limits. Campaign source labels may be kept in tab session storage and included in the prepared WhatsApp message.
Your choices
You can reject analytics and continue using the site. Open Cookie preferences in the footer of any page to change your choice. Rejection stops future measurements and removes Analytics cookies accessible to the site. It does not automatically erase information already received by Google. You can also clear site storage in your browser; we will then ask for your choice again.
Hosting and external services
Cloudflare Pages hosts and delivers the site. Cloudflare may process technical connection information and access logs to provide and protect the service. Google, Cloudflare, WhatsApp and email providers may process data outside your country and apply their own policies. External links take you to services with their own privacy practices.
Retention and requests
The browser consent preference and cookies have the lifetimes described above. These are different from data retention within Google Analytics, which depends on the service configuration. Project communications are retained according to enquiry and service needs and applicable obligations. You can contact us to request information, access, correction or deletion of data CIVION handles about you. We will assess requests under applicable rules and may need to verify your identity.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page when site features or data handling change. The date shown identifies the latest review.
